It was so Raw & Pissed off, which i can totally feel in the new track! I dig it alot! marggot 11/1/18 - 12:24AM I agree opiumslipknot 10/31/18 - 1:53PM Slipknot is everything to me. I bleed Slipknot! All albums by The 9 are special, and I could not choose one over another. It's all about The 9 for me. destroya2010 10/31/18 - 2:39PM Favorite record would have to be either .5 The Grey Chapter, Iowa or All Hope is gone. Favorite song has to be Snuff, Killpop, Vermillion or People = Shit. Favorite era was Iowa because it was so raw and sounded absolutely fantastic. motleyrosesz_ 10/31/18 - 2:41PM I began my journey during the AHIG era and, even though it's not a well respected album like Iowa is, I cherish that era with all my heart. It helped be discover what heavy music can be. My fave song This Cold Black comes from this album too and it triggers the earworm every time it starts. Watching (Sic)nesses was an eye opening experience and I have not looked back on this band since. kathleenbrooks8 10/31/18 - 2:49PM Been listening from the beginning Loved this music reminds me of myself in many ways just love it the mask the music it's meaning everything about it all of you guys . I love otep too 😁 ashtonlyudo 10/31/18 - 7:47PM This music means everything to me! It's helped me through some really difficult times in my life even when I had pretty much no one that supported me. There's so much meaning behind it and it's really something special. I can't really choose one single favorite song/album/era because they're all so amazing in different ways. mrslipknot20 10/31/18 - 7:51PM Your music is the best🤘🤘 basically my life. Iowa is my favorite album Disasterpiece is my favorite song but I'm seriously digging the new track🤘 wingedcharmeleon 10/31/18 - 7:58PM Life. Iowa, Liberate sticks872 10/31/18 - 7:59PM Slipknot is something which means a lot to me. It's like my music taste isnt what most people my age listen to. My favorite 3 bands are Led Zeppelin, Motorhead and Slipknot, I mean led Zeppelin is pretty socially acceptable, Mortorhead is a bit foreign to some but not as out there as Slipknot. I mean theres this stereotype that belongs to people who listens to death metal, all black clothes, long spiked or dyed hair, band t shirt leather jacket, spikey boots and skinny jeans, but that's not all true. I wear the all black but that's about it. I dont fit in the normal stereotype of a metal listener yet here I am. Back on topic, Slipknot and the bands outside the social norms which I partake in is a way to Express my individuality amongst a group of people who most likely all listen and bought your preferred rapper here's latest album. Plus, when I walk through the hallways I usually am listening to metal because school is just hell and music in general is just a quick escape from it all. Plus I blact my music sometimes so my main hope is somebody here it and asks me with the look you get when you hear a guitar and drums especially in the way that these bands play draws attention so it's fun to see the reactions when I tell people I'm listening to Motorhead or Led Zeppelin or Slipknot or Sinsaenum or Judist priest, it's just of confusion that I didnt say your choice of rap artist. stevedishon 2/6/19 - 8:41PM Speaking of not being a stereotypical metal fan- I'm a high school assistant principal:) I actually got into Slipknot when I was teaching 8th grade. I had a little metal head student introduce me to Iowa when it came out. I've been on board ever since. My favorite songs change all the time. I wrote an article not long ago picking my top 10. It's not quite accurate at the moment, but I love all of them. https://www.breakthefourth.com/2018/06/12/slipknot-top-10-maggots/ eeyeore 10/31/18 - 8:06PM I am Hated, Iowa for me, they are all amazing though. Besides Tool, Slipknot is the only music I need. fartacker 4/9/19 - 11:13PM I am at the Rock im Park Festival, Nuremberg, Germany this Year again. Headliners: Slipknot, Tool and Tenecious D. jaymaggot555666 10/31/18 - 9:06PM Favorite record: All of them Favorite song: Gematria (The Killing Name) Favorite era is probably Iowa--AHIG albertgb1 10/31/18 - 9:42PM slipknot was one of the first bands I heard with the iowa cd when I entered the metal, it was practically an important part of my adolescence and it will undoubtedly be my favorite band forever jchleb548 10/31/18 - 10:39PM Iowa came out the same week my parents got divorced and I found my dad trying to kill himself. Iowa literally carried me through the whole thing. It was so hard, dark and disgusting which was how I felt at the time. But, I honestly love every record so far and can’t wait for 2019 chicktaylor 10/31/18 - 10:46PM I can't pic a fave album because I love them all. Fave era would probably be Vol 3 because I was a teen back then and Slipknot was my whole world. Waiting for the album to come out was the thing that kept me going, then followed by chatting with people from the Slipknot Metal forum. Gray Chapter was also a good era because at that point I had enough money to hit up a bunch of shows. My favourite songs are probably Purity, Prosthetics, the Nameless, and Kill pop abdinkins 10/31/18 - 10:48PM Slipknot opened my eyes to music with meaning. Music that you could feel in your soul. Music that could express exactly how you feel. It gave me a whole new world to explore. For that I’m grateful. If I had to pick... Iowa. People = Shit. Early 2000’s. chicktaylor 10/31/18 - 11:41PM People=shit especially and Iowa album in general are my go to when stuck on a plane or at work on a bad day missy245 11/1/18 - 12:22AM Slipknot s music has helped me through some of my darkest moments. I don't know w hat id do without it. My favorite album is Iowa. My favorite song is Killpop hatedmaggot258 11/1/18 - 12:42AM It's really hard to try and describe, but it is everything to me. I came across it in late 2000, and it just said everything I could never articulate. It saved my life, and I just need this band! When I heard Surfacing for the first time, I just had to start learning guitar. You guys were a game changer in my life. bree14 11/1/18 - 2:07AM I cant say a favorite song or album, I love everything so much!! livesticky 11/1/18 - 2:59AM slipknot music is that place you go to charge yourself for this fucked up planet for me is that dark sic family where you go to when u just cant take it anymore and that fammiliar feeling of having the knot and the maggots understand you having your back in this fucked up world is worth more than money or all the insight the best era for me is iowa and my favorite song is the shape nowadays it gets me to do amazing positive stuff even if it's so dark....i fucked depression up because iowa helped me and i had become a better person i hope because of iowa so that's what it means to me a sic family russian_maggot 11/1/18 - 4:03AM Era All Hope Is Gone Favorite song is “Sulfur” I love this song. I love Joey Jordison. I love everything about Slipknot. dizaxter 11/1/18 - 7:27AM Been a fan since spit it out video was released worldwide and aired in German VIVA TV in 1998 I guess. Favorite record? Draw between self titled and Iowa. mlucav 11/1/18 - 7:40AM That‘s a tough one! I think I‘m gonna go with the self titled album and Eyeless. But I love every era and most of the songs. haymdal 11/1/18 - 7:40AM Sic... 1st album and my favorite era was iowa. th3rd 11/1/18 - 9:20AM Wouldn't be here if it wasn't the 9. Got me through some tough times when it seemed that the only proper option was suicide. Era: pre-Vol.3, Record: Iowa & self-titled are at the 1st place, the rest 4 public albums are 2th, Song: 1st place goes to Purity, 2nd place goes to People=Shit, Disasterpiece, Everything Ends, The Burden, Eeyore, Welcome, Scissors and pretty much 20 songs from all around the records. Yup, my top 3 contains all the 86+ songs. theblaza 11/1/18 - 10:02AM Slipknot is everything to me, you have bring me back to life meny times when i was broken, my favorite song is psyhisocial and the Negative one, my fav record is all hope is gone. DeadInDitches 11/1/18 - 10:08AM Slipknot is the band that got me into metal, before that I realised that I liked rock but it wasn't really heavy enough. At that time I of course didn't realise what my music taste actual was since I didn't think about it that much.Ever since I discovered this band I found so many other amazing bands, some of which I never thought I'll like. But Slipknot is still one of my favorites, the music never gets boring. All albums are amazing. I Am Hated,AOV,Scream,Eyeless and Everything Ends are probably my favorite. Favorite eras are Vol.3 and All Hope Is Gone.I think I like those masks the best. tincher1134 11/1/18 - 12:11PM To many favorites to spit it out! elenaandersson9 11/1/18 - 12:34PM I absolutely love Iowa and the Gray chapter. The gray chapter hit me where it hurts the most, not many songs or bands do. The song Goodbye from the gray chapter moves me to tears, just because my dad committed suicide back in 2016 and I know the song is about Paul to them and loved ones to everyone else (well I think). It spoke to me on another level and it helped me get through it. Slipknot means more to me than they’ll ever know. I will go to the grave still listening to them. maggot4life51 11/1/18 - 12:40PM Slipknot is everything to me, it’s my life. All album and song is special for me. they have all a special place in my heart. kale 11/1/18 - 1:27PM Slipknot means everything to me in my life. Your music is the most beautiful thing that happened in my life. You're great! The new song is fantastic! Keep going. :D dankmandingo 11/1/18 - 4:11PM I listen to you guys all day every day.. 1st album is still my favorite.. your music is a way of life.. i love it.. looking forward to seeing you guys in cleveland ohio 🤘😤🤘 nemo22 11/1/18 - 4:21PM All music by the 9 gets to me. It tells me that I am not alone. The pain and rage are real. I discovered the 9 just a few years ago but they are now my all time favorite band. Favorite album is the original. SLIPKNOT. Tie for favorite song. Surfacing and Duality. ROCK AND FUCKIN ROLL! fuckt 11/1/18 - 4:21PM You know, sometimes I don't want to exist, live, but then I listen to Slipknot, and I understand that sometimes you guys are the only reason I'm still alive. You're all for me. Thanks for your music, thanks for all! JackLouise 11/1/18 - 4:36PM Iowa. Iowa. Iowa. My favorite track is New Abortion. When I was a kid, my big brother drove me to school one fine morning in his Camaro. He had a killer sound system! We left early for school & the night before he had bought the self titled album. I was in sixth grade at the time, & he drove up & down the road to my school blasting surfacing & eyeless & prosthetics. I was amazed to say the least. I had never heard such, passion & intensity in music before. I was immediately a fan. I thought to myself, "This music epitomizes what I feel. If my life could come in song form, this would be it. " I felt it was so relatable & I felt a deep connection to it. I haven't stopped listening since. I was also grateful I had a big brother who had great taste in music. I'll never forget how new it was & how good of a mood I was in when I got out of that car to go to school. fuckt 11/1/18 - 4:47PM Your music is like a drug to me kingjacki 11/1/18 - 5:40PM I have no words, to describe the meaning of hearing Slipknot, difficult to choose a song as a favorite, but I think Devil in I gustavo696 11/1/18 - 6:06PM Fav songs are definitely Devil in I and Snuff slipknot_zealot 11/2/18 - 8:07AM Head over heels for the Iowa era. The album ws a work of art and the masks were absolutely gorgeous. The majority of my favorite Slipknot songs come from Iowa and Self-Titled. Left Behind will always be my theme song <3 uneven_waffle 11/2/18 - 8:52AM It means the world to me! I can't really explain but everytime I listen to your music it feels like coming home! Your shows are so full of energy it's breaktaking, I have never experienced something so unique and powerful. Also I love you guys so much, I was lucky enough to attend meets & greets and you are just the best people in the world!! Having said that - my fav song is people = sh*t ;) captainchris08 11/2/18 - 9:27AM Slipknot's music is life, when a song starts it floods my body with energy and the worrys of life melt away. In 2015 I took my fiancee to a Slipknot concert, she was so happy. Slipknot brought us together and now with a child on the way we cant wait to inroduce this wonderful art to our child. The whole of Slipknot music is amazing. The Art , the Sound, the way Slipknot bring it to the table everytime is amazing. mandic12 11/3/18 - 1:11AM Love them All! Self titled came out in my early 20s and redifined Music for me! Seeing The Knot do Spit it out and Surfacing live in a small venue is a memory I'll cherish forever! sic_hawk 11/3/18 - 1:45AM The first album is my favourite, everything about it, the art imagery, the music is brutal and raw with emotion knowing the back story of them recording it. Never forget being 14 and seeing the Spit it Out video late night and buying the original album before they rereleased with different tracks, every track on this album is killer!!! Still my fave album of all time🤘🤘 eithansherrill 11/3/18 - 10:38AM My favorite record was definitely Iowa; it was just so raw and gritty. The Iowa and self-titled eras are my favorites; the group was still new with little restrictions, so their music was really gritty and heavy (same reason I like All Out Life). Favorite songs would be The Shape, People=Shit and Scissors. NomadicSkeptic 11/3/18 - 11:50AM The music was something to grab ahold of while facing the challenges of everyday life. From when I first heard the blistering track of (SiC) back in 99 at 14 years old. To going through my first heartbreak at 16 during IOWA, which helped me a lot...I cannot express that enough. To Vol3. helping me with new challenges of a brutal and physically draining relationship, to All Hope is Gone when I didn't know where I was going in life. Paul passing in 2010 led me to believe all hope was really gone and I would be lost. To then hear The Gray Chapter come out exactly when I needed it in a new and beautiful relationship which I'm still in to this day. All Out Life was released exactly when I needed it, yet again, perfect timing for my own situations in life. Today I have 3 kids, 1 on the way, extremely successful with my business, a beautiful wife and never been better. I owe this success to Slipknot guiding me along the way. To seal the deal a few years ago to show my appreciation, I got Slipknot's tribal 'S' tatted on my forearm (exactly where Paul had his). Clown signed it years ago at the Mayhem festival. I love that I can just show him and other members without saying a word, and we know we are family. berniechan27 11/5/18 - 11:27AM slipknot is more of a recent discovery for me like i found it about 9 years ago and my favorite era is easily Vol 3 my favorite track is Duality or Pulse of The Maggots florian1977 11/6/18 - 6:33AM Favorite Record is Iowa Favorite Song People = Shit Favorite Era - the Paul & Joey Era! igo888 11/6/18 - 9:58AM I don't have a favourite song or album. I can only say that "Sarcastrophe" means a lot to me. ot9maggot 11/6/18 - 9:58AM Slipknot means so much to me. Every band member has a story that has been told through at least one song and I’m glad they are expressing themselves. My favorite record is Iowa (of course). My favorite song is either Vermillion or Snuff. My favorite era is definitely All Hope Is Gone. amurderdoll 11/6/18 - 11:01AM It will forever connect my best friend and me and the times we've been through together. One song might bring back a ton of memories. My favorite album is Vol. 3 because of that. It came out when our friendship was still pretty fresh and we listened to the songs and talked about them. Listening to Pulse of the Maggots especially brings back great memories. thiranger 11/6/18 - 11:09AM slipknot and vol3 are my favorite albums bartonjesse87 11/8/18 - 8:23PM There is no favorite its an evolving timeline of art, feeling and memory expressed thru music.. that still captures the way i feel today or i can bounce back to previous times or tracks to a current mood or feeling.. You guys always nail it. looking forward to hearing more of the new stuff its motivating! Eeyore27AOL 11/10/18 - 6:58PM Slipknot's music means everything to me, its how I get rid of stress, my favorite band, how I get along with people, without Slipknot, my life would be way worse. My favorite records are MFKR/s/t, and era is 1996-2003. For songs its Gently (MFKR) Do Nothing (MFKR) Eyeless, Liberate, Eeyore, Gematria (The Killing Name) The Virus of Life, and Diluted. ryanmcfly1 11/12/18 - 2:11PM Favorite era was All Hope is gone. The band sounded soooo good at the time (not that they don't sound amazing now) but it was just peak "we are here to kick your fucking ass." The look of the band was my favorite too. The black and red jackets were so dope. Favorite Record - Self Titled Favorite Song - Sarcastrophe ivanpanov999 11/13/18 - 2:14AM Slipknot is life, the music is amazing and helps me everyday :) ecrtorres 11/13/18 - 4:00AM I've been listening to Slipknot for about 20 years, so it means a lot to me. Iowa is (and still is) on of the best albums I've heard in my life, that album is the reason I got back to listening to brutal music like Napalm Death, Entombed, Nasum and all that Death Metal, Grindcore stuff. syedhassanmehdi7 11/13/18 - 9:25AM "Duality" brought me to Slipknot; after that, I moved back and forth through all albums like one possessed. As of now, I'm a student of literature, and I'm doing my thesis on Slipknot. I can't even compare the albums. They're all epitomes of art in themselves. But for me, the first album takes the cake. Again, I'm not saying this in COMPARISON: all albums have certain core traits. And for the first one, there's madness, a surrealism of form, pain, angst, rebellion. Most importantly, the mixture of surrealism and madness is magical for me. I'd have Eyeless played on my funeral. luke32 12/22/18 - 11:16AM Means a solution to all the rage that one can't liberate. Iowa, I Am Hated/Disasterpiece/The Negative One, Iowa era. lenbaileyslipknotfans42 12/27/18 - 2:08PM slipknots music has gotten me through the toughest time and i don't know were i would be without it right now it means everything to me it made me start what i love doing most which is playing guitar and writing music which is what i want my future about. my favorite record is iowa because i can get all the aggression out of my system through listening to it. favorite song is probably disasterpiece or custer because of the aggression but it is hard to choose but only with slipknot songs because they all mean a lot to me and i just cant choose. favorite era is .5 the gray chapter because i loved the masks for that my favorite mask of all time is corey's lipless version i mean i even brought an expensive replica of it from italy but no one has replicated it yet and its a hard mask to replicate because it has so much detail but i also love the mostly black and some red jumpsuits and corey's military suit with the tactical vest i just adored it gremlin2243 12/27/18 - 4:00PM Me listening to Slipknot saves lives. People=Shit has saved more lives than penicillin! eltonnicacio411 12/27/18 - 4:52PM slipknot marked a very important phase of my life when I first heard it I found amazing how it sounded different and that's why I identified myself, thank you for making that sound that gives me the feeling that I'm not alone anymore my the frist studio album of the slipknot is my favorite krystynapoe 12/27/18 - 8:01PM Self titled would definitely have to be my favourite album. Closely followed by All Hope is Gone. Favourite song is a tie between Purity and Dead memories. Both songs mean so much to me in their own ways. And as far as eras Iowa has got to be my favourite, apart from the aesthetics and how bad ass the masks were, the emotion and pure frustration in that timeframe shows in everything they did back then. It was a tough time for the guys but it definitely gave slipknot the edge that they continue to grasp to this day. Slipknot not only changed my life but taught me so much about myself and how I truly feel in life. thenameless682 12/28/18 - 1:45AM Erm it’s a hard one considering every album to date has at least 2 or 3 songs that I can completely relate to but I would have to go with Iowa. It’s my leave me alone and give me some space album. New abortion, metabolic, disasterpieces and Iowa are all songs that just take you to a different place. 100% of the time I come out of listening to that album in a much better place then when I went in. I couldn’t ask for any more from an album or band. dragodk9 1/1/19 - 3:05PM Slipknot is definitely my favorite band so they mean a lot to me. I love all their albums and songs. I don't have a favorite... They all are my favorite. Can't wait for the new album! tello89 1/12/19 - 12:15PM I started listening in the summer of 2000 I fucking was slipknot obsessed, it helped me through my parents new divorce and my dad being the biggest meth dealer in the county and everything that came with that, I really don't know where I woulda been without that self titled album, I learned that being myself was ok and I learned the most important thing that I was not alone! I fucking love you all, we are all in this together I recently rekindled my love of slipknot it's made me learn how to be a whole person by embracing both sides of my psyche I can honestly say now I love them now more than ever and am so greatful to be here today with all of you....... thank you kidnot 1/14/19 - 12:32PM So vol.3 the subliminal verses was the season I joined outside the nine I was a member for 2 years then life kicked in and I was not around the computer a lot I was not carrying as much around the waist so my extra large shirt fit really well then it went in the missing for anyone not aware year one maggots got an exclusive shirt upon joining it featured all original members in small scale on the front with a printed message on the back that read we fight till no one can fight us. It would be awesome for a reissue of that shirt. Anyone remember sitting at the computer waiting for the video release of vermillionpt. 2 I remember that I waited up most of the night set my alarm woke up early and then there it was posted I watched awe struck at this life that wouldn't accept life I watched the video several times then watched pt.1 and realized that the beautiful butterfly that was once a living worm had turned human but couldn't accept the life that was offered it's sad I know but through its trial it gifted its God the life it had by the relationship of giving itself into life we as humans only live long enough to offer life life then well ........ .......... I also remember watching the video for before I forget and at the end when the camera lowers and they walk away I was filled with tears thinking where are they going please don't leave then I watched left behind then I knew that we all get left behind and what we make out of life is what we are and living is everything. Slipknot are here because of the love of music if you love music only then when you realize art is life. These guys put their life on the line every time the go out into the world all in the name of music. And their fans well we are the masses the thing that they live for love you guys. danisicknot 1/15/19 - 12:08PM Everything, sometimes I feel lonely, but I listen to Slipknot and everything gets better, I feel so comfortable, so "home". When I get angry, sad, happy, there's always a song that can describe those feelings, it's like a big invisible hug. Right now I can say they are helping me to keep going on this hard time of my life, I feel kind of lost. Slipknot inspires me, makes me happy and powerful. It's hard to say what's my favourite song, I have a fav one each period of my life, so I always change it, but if I have to choose now I'd say Prosthetics, Disasterpiece and The Shape. Same thing with fave record... Iowa, I guess... Era: I think I prefer before Paul's death and Joey departure (sorry, I miss Joey); Slipknot and Iowa because of the energy, the madness, the crazy things they did on stage. But all of them are ok, anyway. master6665 1/16/19 - 8:01AM Slipknot = Inspiration, a way of life Record = The five records, and maybe The Gray chapter Song = The devil in I Era = 1999 duality8 1/19/19 - 5:52AM Probably vol.3 it was just so awsome the lyrics, music everything.my favourite slipknot song of all time is ethier spit it out or eyeless mrabell66 1/21/19 - 3:28PM I been listening to Slipknot since Iowa, and I must say that I love all of it. They have shown time and time again that bthey are inovators when it comes to their music which is a plus in this time and age. I must say that been 51 with long hair, and listening to them is at times a sour taste to many of my friends that are of a conservative; I guess you can say that the devil in I still wants to listen to NU-Metal, and although I am an 80's kid who was influence by the sounds of Metallica, Ratt, Motley Crue to mention a few I find myself incline to listening to Knot almost exclusively. I guess if I have to choose a song as my favorite I would have to say "Dead Memories" but also enjoy IOWA, .3, .5 Killpop etc... pejelagarto 1/24/19 - 10:14PM It's a hard choice, I love everything made by you. cachogoru 1/27/19 - 6:54PM Slipknot's music is a fundamental part of my life, I'm always listening to music, and a lot of time it is Slipknot's. I can't picture my life without it (been this way since I'm 14). it helps me if I'm angry, frustrated, tired (in every possible way, health issues, work problems, family mishaps, failed relationships). But it also fuels me, makes me wanna get my ass up and do things, it inspires me (I even put it when I'm doing a surgery), and it also makes me extemely happy. So, as a result, I love these guys, the songs, the art, the concepts (the idea of being an outsider and being ok with it, because I'm sure I don't fit entirely in one specific group of people, not even in the "metalhead" world). Favorite record: Slipknot (I got to them with Wait and Bleed, and still feels angry, dark and complex). Favorite song: This is soooo damn difficult, 4 principal contenders Wait and Bleed, Purity, Snuff and Get This. Favorite era: '99, has a nostalgia thing for me, but it also kicked major ass. I also loooved .5 Chapter era. (I know I exagerated with my text, but I was wasting time). tab666 1/28/19 - 5:34PM I met with his first album, Slipknot. For me was like a slap in the face. I grew up with the music of the 90 s and from Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains, there was no group that hipnotized me in that way, until it was Slipknot. I felt the blood boil through my veins, listen to any song was as if they had been aroused that sixth sense that I was missing. His music gives me strength and although it sounds weird I feel protected, accompanied and supported above. It cost me to pick my favorite song, but I stay with SIC. That album was changed something in me and my 40 years I haven't felt a power equal. androfsin 2/2/19 - 2:08PM Jr High, was thumbing through a binder of CDs that my brother borrowed from a friend. Found '98 Slipknot and gave it a listen. Completely turned me on to metal that day forward. I'm 34 now and still love their sound and been wishing for an Iowa Part 2 ever since. Bring the creepy. Bring the hate. Bring the heavy. This stuff is ear therapy even when all is good in the world. lmilt13 2/3/19 - 9:42AM Slipknot is everything to me, the self titled is my favourite album, “I Am Hated” is my favourite song as I can relate to it deeply, favourite era is definitely Iowa, the darkness, rawness, the pain. ecoriax 2/3/19 - 6:30PM If I had to pick one, then my favourite album is the '99 Slipknot album. Obviously because it kicked ass, but more so because it was the first time I'd heard 'that' kind of music. The first time I listened to it was pretty special (on a boat in a storm with 26 classmates vomiting in the isles, and me walking around with my discman playing Slipknot, smiling from ear to ear), I had never heard of Slipknot, I just chose it because the cover looked interesting, sat down with it, and the hair on my arms and back of the neck stood on end 1 minute into the track (sic), and it was such a mind blowing experience coming from parents who listened to Swiss alp yodelling. It got me interested in the diversity of music, and the feelings it can induce or even alter. My favorite era is the "Iowa" era, simply because of the track "Left Behind". I already listened to Slipknot at this point, but Left Behind was the first track I saw the music video for, and also the first track to where I felt it was more personally relatable for me. The video in particular, seeing the energy behind each member, and the 'vulnerability', was special. I'm autistic, so I've always been an outsider, I still am, but you get better at blending in as you learn to mimic the social stuff, but it felt like "here's something that is okay with me just being me". It was also an album that worked as a way to vent my frustrations. But this video felt like a confirmation of "it's okay to be different, but that doesn't mean others will ever tolerate it". I don't have an explicitly favorite song, but I'd name "Override" as one of them, for two main reasons; for one because I like the composition of it and it's placement on the album, and secondly because it confuses and makes "normal" people uneasy when you look intently at them sitting next to you on the bus, and whisper along to the lyrics "You don't know the hell that's coming" - never ceases to amuse me when I have a bad day. rinsederycke 2/4/19 - 5:13PM Slipknot means alot to me. I look up to Corey. I honestly like all of the albums but Slipknot and All is Gone stand out to me. etrnevarez21 2/4/19 - 5:24PM Snuff means a lot to me because I can relate to every single lyric in that song considering I got cheated on twice. austinmetal 2/5/19 - 8:11AM Subliminal versus and Iowa all the way! 082902a 2/5/19 - 9:41AM Every fuckin think it means i was an acholic not with slipknot im new been sober for 3 years thanks to slipknot i means my life. cdoug 2/6/19 - 3:03PM It pumps me up and my favorite record has to be Vol 3 sebmaggot 2/6/19 - 3:49PM Slipknot's music helps me to fight the mountains in my fuckin life... when I put on my headphones and I start blasting Slipknot I feel like I am out of this world, offline. I was in 9th grade. There was a cd store across the street from my high school. I started saving my lunch money so that by the end of the week i had enough to buy a cd. I was looking around and saw the cover of self titled and was like wow what is this? So i bought it. I couldnt believe what i was listening to. Life changing moment for me. My dad had this stereo he use to blast all his classics out of, When i got home i was like check this out. He turns the volume up, Intro starts and he goes wtf did you buy? Then sic starts and it felt like my house was gonna fall apart and then i was getting yelled at..... Love this band! rocknroro666 2/10/19 - 3:06PM To me, Slipknot is the outlet for me to let out all of my rage and stress. They are what keeps me so pumped up at the gym or just in general, they show me that it's more than okay to feel fucked up, that even if you feel fucked up, it's something you can embrace and overcome because you have the will power to conquer what you fear most. I don't think I can pick a song that I would say is all time favorite Slipknot track just because they have many powerful songs I would consider one of my favorites. Favorite record is most undoubtedly the Gray Chapter because it's such a good mixture of everything they've done on the first four albums. Favorite era is the Iowa era because I would have loved to be around at one of the shows during that album cycle considering how passionately aggressive the first two records are. gwittshit 2/11/19 - 6:58PM Iowa is my favorite record for sure. Start to finish the record is raw, angry, and psychotic. That record is medicinal to me. meagansic 2/12/19 - 3:28PM Favorite record? Iowa. Song? Cant choose. Era? For clown, self titled, corey, subliminal verses, mick..... subliminal verses as well, joey, Iowa, James, all hope is gone metalheadchimmy 2/12/19 - 5:18PM Slipknot 1999, Raw, Energy, Tempo, Chaos, Groovey, Rage, Agression, Fun. edgelordxd 2/12/19 - 7:57PM Snuff, is my favorite song cause of how much i can relate to the lyrics acebalo 2/13/19 - 6:33PM Man that’s a tuff one I can right a whole paragraph for each album and what that album has done for me if I could meet slipknot I’d cry they have helped me a lot and I want to be friends with most of them and see what’s it like to be with them cuz I feel like I have to same mentality as them if Any of them see this my insta is @cebalo slipknotfan899 2/14/19 - 1:37PM vol. 3. and left behind redrum68 2/16/19 - 6:24PM Slipknot has helped me through extremely rough times. Still does. Slipknot is life. Vol 3 is my fav record and fav era as well. Probably because I was going through a lot in life during this era and this album helped me release my anger and also remain calm at the same time. Also during this era slipknot changed into something beautiful and terrifying at the same time. They broke the mold with this album. Rather than repeating themselves they gave us something original and still 100% slipknot to the core. Fav track over all The Devil In I. (ps all of their tracks and albums are amazing) slipkno_lyric_knower 2/17/19 - 5:56PM Favorite era is all hope is gone and my most favorite song is til we die zmullins24 2/18/19 - 9:26PM I’ve listened to slipknot ever since I was a kid. My older brother is who got me started listening to them and they are my favorite band of all time. I love every era is slipknot. Disaster piece is definitely my favorite song. But I definitely can’t wait for this new album to come out!!! inmanmat000 2/19/19 - 9:54AM Slipknot to me has always been about admitting their is evil in the world and to not ignore it but acknowledge it and be better than your evil. My favorite album is Iowa. My favorite song is psychosocial and my favorite era is the debut album because they were so wild and full of life and it was cool to see how they were before becoming so big. raggbagg 2/21/19 - 11:38PM Slipknot serves many purposes for me. I listen to them when I'm pissed, I listen when I'm sad, I listen when I need to pull my head out of my own ass. I go back and forth on my favorite album, but I think for me it's either Iowa or All Hope is Gone. Favorite song without question is people = shit. It's the truth is what it is. Pure and unfiltered. Just as the knot should be. It's a perfect encapsulation of everything slipknot is. dw5music 2/23/19 - 2:02PM It means that i can let my dark side go outside without bothering anyone. Just let my darkness see the light and be part of the world. It's crazy, man; just listening to certain songs you feel better, but angry at the same time and no one notice that, they just see you headbanging slightly and with a smile because those songs are saving you. My favorite record is IOWA... I hope to see you, guys, in Medellín Colombia someday. Have us on the watch, please. We need a concert here. Love you guys. gnome9 2/27/19 - 10:02PM I started on their self-titled album all the way to now. Maggot4Life and all that. ;) My favorite songs would have to be People = Shit, Goodbye, and Heretic Anthem. Granted, I also sing their Iowa album to my kids... My kids grow up listening to Slipknot =D knotyourkind 2/28/19 - 7:57AM I remember my first time ever hearing Slipknot, I was pretty young and I was watching a Freestyle Motocross VHS Tape and (sic) came on, a couple scenes later Wait and Bleed came on. I knew I liked what I heard but had no idea who it was so I waited to find out in the end credits. I mentioned to a friend at school that I heard of a band Slipknot and said he should check it out but he actually already knew them better than I did. So i went to his house after school and he gave me a copy of welcome to our neighborhood to borrow. After watching that tape I was HOOKED. I wore that tape out, and then wore Disasterpiece out when that came out haha. Slipknot was the band that made me a Metal Head at a young age. I would have to say Self Titled for album/era if I really had to pic one, It was the beginning for us and the mystery was still there, none of us knew what anyone of them looked liked. I loved that. My Go-To songs on that record in no order Get This - Me Inside - Interloper - Liberate - Only One -Bretlydude full_metal_malice_13 3/4/19 - 12:41PM Self titled and Iowa since it's impact shaped my teenage years. Ever since I first saw your debut at Ozzfest, 99 I think. I was 16. I waited and waited till that first album dropped after I saw you. It blew my mind. You've never let me down since. I've since grew up, had kids and in their mouth they know your name. It's amazing I can have the same favorite band at 16 as my daughter can at 16. And to hear the 7 year old sing, All Out Life. Amazing ❤ livvycostolo 3/4/19 - 1:40PM It means everything to me. I'd say Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses has gotta be my favorite. But in all seriousness, Slipknot doesn't have a single bad song. chaultx15 3/4/19 - 1:42PM Favorite Album is the self titled one, so much hate, rage, love and disregard wrapped in one and it was just what I need at my life when that album debuted. Favorite songs are Snuff and Vermillion. Cant pick a favorite era because I've enjoyed every bit of progression of the band and music that there can be no favorite. I'm just along for the beautiful ride. dragula6669 3/4/19 - 9:35PM I am always amazed at their first album, just for the fact that they found a way to make an album that was so heavy and purely raw with anger, yet at the same time so melodic and beautiful. Keep up the awesome work guys, can't wait to see y'all a second time in GA. 88alloutlife 3/4/19 - 9:38PM It means, to me, sometimes the world is just a chaotic, deceiving, spit in a the face lying jerk that don't care. But realizing that through some of the songs and grasping that notion, it can make a real difference between what you do with it or about it. It's music that tells the truth and calls out all the details of what a problem somethings can be. Now it a matter of taking that and turning it into happy sad anger peace what ever. Each song has its own way of saying, hey this is what's up, but you gotta take it however it feels to you.. no one else. 88alloutlife 3/4/19 - 10:55PM Everything plain and simple as that. My best friend. .5 the gray chapter. Left Behind Vol. 3 Era slipknot0 3/5/19 - 11:11AM Well all my friends and family say "Before I Forget" everything when I'm leaving. So that's the song is me thank you enough to write a awesome song! **Pulse of the Maggots! My favourite album is Vol 3: the subliminal verses and my favourite song is Before I Forget deathmetalforever 3/19/19 - 2:16AM Literally everything. mvjcaro 3/19/19 - 6:12PM Everything was better when taylor and crahan didnt think that slipknot was a money machine..."I never stopped trying, I never stopped feeling like family is much more than blood"...i think both have to think all over again the meaning of that sentence... sliptron 3/19/19 - 11:59PM Honesty I came a fan When I heard the song "duality" On the Vol 3 Subliminal verses album. It took me awhile to get into them and yes...i'm not ashamed to admit It took Stone Sour for me to hear Corey's voice and hear his range. Also having a work mate driving you to work playing that album on his player everyday gave me a chance to really listen to the music. So since then Im hooked and I can even add songs like people= shit, The Heretic Anthem and Left Behind from Iowa to my favourites songs. I really loved them seeing them live in Brisbane Australia, and I am most certainly looking forward to the new album and seeing the them again in October when they tour with Metallica. My favourite album is "ALL HOPE IS GONE". fuckt 3/20/19 - 5:11AM Everything but not without Chris roach3 3/25/19 - 1:58AM Subliminal versus was so important to my life.
